Would You Rather- Beauty Edition - TAG

Now some of you that have been with me for awhile may be having deja vu right about now and thinking I have lost my mind but let me assure you, I still have it together....I think lol. Yes I have done this tag before but since I was tagged again I thought I would do it once more time since I have gotten so many new readers recently. Also, I want to say a huge thank you to Ashley for tagging me and if y'all are looking for a great beauty blog to follow.....go check her out!

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
I would give up my palettes and eye shadows, for sure. I feel like mascara and eyeliner can make a look come together and look complete. Eye shadow is nice and brings a makeup look together also BUT I think it isn't as crucial as mascara or eyeliner.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never cut it again. I have had long hair down past my butt before and while it took a lot more time to style and care for, it was beautiful. Also, I have too big of a head to have no hair lol

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I think that I am wayyyy too pale to pull off a coral shade and a pink blush is way more practical and "in" all year long.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
As much as I love makeup, I would have to chose clothes. I have so much makeup as it is but hardly have any clothes due to my weight constantly changing. I would love to go into a store a blow $1000 on clothes...what girl wouldn't? lol

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Can I chose neither? No? Okay, If I had to choose I would say lipstick as eyeliner. I wear different color eyeliner sometimes so I think I could manage. I could never pull off black lips so I would never want to use my eyeliner as lipstick lol

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Uhhhh....Sephora 100%. Sephora has a huge range of products and brands to choose from while MAC is limited.

7.) Would you rather only use one eye shadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One lip color for the rest of my life. I think if I had a great neutral nude pink color I would be set.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
So the choice is to freeze my ass off or cook in the sun? wonderful! haha. I would have to say, wear winter clothes in the summer. As much as I hate to be hot, I hate to be cold even more. I hate winter and cold weather and I even have to wear a blanket in the house so I would never want to wear shorts & tank top in the winter.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails, all day every day!

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
lip product

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Like I said before, I have a giant head and a pony tail emphasizes it. Messy bun it is!

12.) Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I am not a huge lip gloss person anymore so I would be just fine never using lip gloss again.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I would sharpie those bad boys on. Have you ever glued your eyebrows for a Halloween look and covered them with foundation to make them appear gone? It is very awkward LOL I don't recommend this look for anyone.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Nail polish....duhhhh :)

Again, thank you so much Ashley for tagging me! Make sure y'all go check out her blog..I love it and I think you will too!

Happy Halloween Loves <3

October IPSY

Octobers IPSY bag was a little different than normal. We normally get mostly makeup but this month they added hand creams and moisturizers to the bag. It was a nice little switch up but I hope that we go back to mostly makeup products. If you aren't familiar with IPSY, it is a monthly beauty subscription service where you receive 5 deluxe (sample) or full size items, all for $10 per month. This is my favorite beauty service because they normally always have at least one full size item and I always get my moneys worth.

Here's what I got:

Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel - Deluxe Sample
I used this a couple of times and I really didn't care for it. If you seen my natural hair you would think..."girl that hair doesn't need to be any bigger" lol but my hair is EXTREMELY thick and gets heavy so my roots get weighed down and flat. This really didn't give my roots any volume so I will not purchase this in the future.

be Delectable Hand Cream in Coconut & Cream - Deluxe Sample
I am in love with this hand cream. It not only smells delicious but it makes my hands feel incredible. After I shave my legs I normally can't immediately put lotion on them because my skin gets irritated. I know this is hand cream but I put it on my legs after shaving and it did not irritate my skin at all and my legs felt amazing. I will defiantly purchase the full size bottle of this lotion.

H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment - Deluxe Sample
One word....AMAZING! This stuff is absolutely amazing and I honestly can't get enough of it. I thought this would be the product that I wouldn't care for but it is actually my favorite. It makes my skin feel so amazing and soft. It doesn't leave a greasy residue like most lotions so it is perfect for my skin. It also reduces the redness on my face and evens out my complexion a bit. Steven even noticed a difference in my skin and used it a couple of times lol. I will 100% be purchasing this product.

Zoya Nail Polish in Mason - Full Size $8
Okay, I have a love hate relationship with Zoya. I love the colors they offer and how pigmented they are BUT both polishes that I have from Zoya have a weird consistency. The first time I use the polish the consistency is great but after that it's like it thickens and I don't like it. Does anyone else have the same experience?

Buxon Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly - Deluxe Sample
I was so excited when I seen that I was getting this gloss because there's all this hype about Buxom and I hadn't tried it yet. It was the first thing I took out to try and my thoughts......WOMP WOMP! I did not like the constancy at all. It was so thick and sticky....yuck. It did make my lips tingle and plump a little bit and it looked pretty but the consistency ruined it for me. I will not be purchasing this in the future.

Overall, I liked this month's bag. I found some great new products and learned of a few products that I don't like....that's what a beauty subscription is all about. If you have been considering a beauty subscription but not sure which one, I recommend Ipsy.

Why Do You Wear Makeup TAG

I love tags and reading other peoples responses to them. Thank you so much to Sissi  for tagging me, I really do enjoy them. I'm currently writing my posts for this week so that I am a little ahead and I have a couple of tags to complete so I will have them up this week. Thank you so much to everyone who thinks of me when they do the tags, I really appreciate it <3

1. When did you begin loving makeup?
I started wearing makeup when I was 12 but when I moved to my dads I was no longer able to wear it anymore. My dads religion is against women wearing makeup so I was CONSTANTLY in trouble for sneaking makeup and wearing it at school. I would have to say that's when my love for makeup developed. It wasn't until I was 16 and moved back to my moms that I was able to express that love and I was allowed to start using makeup again.

2. How do you feel without makeup?
I feel like my look is incomplete when I don't wear makeup but I am perfectly fine going without it. There are plenty of days that I go out and do things without makeup on. I wrote a whole blog post about the year that I gave up makeup and why I did it.

3. What do you like about makeup?
I love how versatile makeup is. You can use a little to accentuate your natural beauty or you can absolutely transform yourself. I am always blown away by some before and after photos where extreme contouring is used. It's amazing!

4. Three holy grail items:
1. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
2. E.L.F. Eyebrow Kit
3. Avon Mega Effects Mascara

I TAG:
Emma
Laurie

Happy Birthday To My Fur Babies

Happy 7th Birthday Smokey & 5th Birthday Piper!

Smokey                                                      Piper Doodle

I absolutely love my little fur babies Smokey and Piper. October is their birthday month so of course I am going to have one big ol' post for them LOL. If you hate pets or people that have too much love for their pets, then skip this post because it will be all about my little loves. They really do act like brothers and are actually really close. They sleep together almost every night and follow each other around all day. They play together all the time and I love that even though Smokey is so much bigger than Piper he is always careful not to hurt Piper. When other people bring animals over they watch each others back LOL...Bro's for life! I wanted to share a few pictures of them over the years, so enjoy :)

BTW: There are more pictures of Piper only because Smokey sees a camera and he looks away...and when we are fast enough to catch him, he looks shocked (hence the expression in the above photo LOL). Piper loves himself and the camera so we never have a problem getting a picture of him haha.

We had to bottle feed Piper because he was only 3 weeks old when we found him. He was so tiny & cute!

He always sits "fancy" lol

This was a few years ago but he still sits with me every day when I get ready.

Smokey was just a little puppy here. I can not believe that he is 7 already.

Okay yall I'll stop looking like a weirdo now LOL. We don't have kids so they are like kids to us. I would not trade them for anything and can't imagine not having them in our lives for the last 7 years. I'm sure all you pet parents understand what I'm saying lol.

Versatile Blogger Award

I am so honored to have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by LizHanna, Lily, and Emma. With everything going on lately I have barely been posting which has caused me to get behind. Its been a few weeks since I was first nominated but I want yall to know that I sincerely appreciate you thinking of me. They are all wonderful bloggers and you should definitely check them out. Also, I am so sorry if I missed anyone that nominated me. I was trying to make sure to write everyone who nominated me down and thank them and I am so sorry if I missed anyone.

The Versatile Blogger Award is given from blogger peers for writing quality blogs that have somehow touched them, having good quality photographs and the uniqueness of the subjects covered. The award is to honor the bloggers who bring something special to your life :)

How it Works: -Display the Award Certificate on your blog.
- Announce your win and thank the blogger who nominated you.
-Present 15 deserving bloggers with the award
- Link your nominees in this post and let them know of their nomination with a comment.
- Post 7 interesting things about yourself.

7 Random Facts About Me:
-When I eat ramen noodles I don't cook them, I eat them dry.

-I hate how fat my big toes are LOL

-I'm notorious for starting DIY projects but not finishing them for months. I have like 10 projects that I started but have not finished yet.

-I would love to travel to England, Italy, and Germany.

-This is the first season that I have actively watched football. I'm addicted and like I said before I look at stats non stop now and try to learn everything I can about football. I must say I make some good picks every week lol. Stevens friends now talk to me about football LOL (steven hates football by the way)

-I love everything about Christmas.

-I have never been to Disneyland or Disney World.

I was going to tag people but every single blog I thought about and went through had already been nominated quite a few times lol. Yall are obviously some awesome bloggers! I am, instead, going to list blogs that I think yall will like and should check out.

And the bad blogger award goes to.....

ME!!!

I have been off my game lately when it comes to blogging. This month has been a dosie for me. Between finals, homework, internet issues for over a week, and my medical complications...I am about to lose my mind. Every time I think that I am getting somewhere life throws a flaming bag of crap on my doorstep.

About a week ago I started having sharp pains in my lower stomach where I have a small pea sized cyst. It hurt but I ignored it because Steven is always telling me I am a hypochondriac lol. Each day the pain got increasingly worse and before I knew it I was 5 days in and had a large bright red swollen lump where my cyst used to be. I finally called my mom when the burning in my stomach spread down to my upper thighs and it became impossible to get comfortable walking and sitting. She, of course, told me to call the doctor immediately to get in because it sounded bad. I went to the doctor the next day and I thought I would get some antibiotics and be on my way......WRONG! The doctor told me that I did in fact have an infection and that if I let it go much longer I would have been going to the hospital. I had an abscess cyst that got infected which is why I had the large lump and burning. The doctor told me that they needed to lance, drain, and pack the incision but they would be numbing me. I hate needles but I thought numbing was a wonderful addition since they would be cutting the wound. I thought that until I seen the needle and about had a heart attack. That thing was friggin huge and the freak out process began. Out of the whole process that needle was the most pain that I experienced. It was awful and I hope that I never have to experience that feeling again. After it was all done and over I felt fine and thought this is a piece of cake. The nurse practitioner told me that I should take it easy for a day and come back the next day to get the packing removed. I thought she was nuts and I was like I feel fine and I'm gonna run my errands....WRONG! My smart ass self some how forgot that the big ass needle they used was the numbing part of the process and that is why I felt so good. I was a little sore but thought I would head home to get Steven to go with me to the store....WRONG again! About 30 minutes after I left the doctors office I realized why the nurse told me to take it easy....the numbing wore off. Holy crap!

Let me just tell yall, as much pain as I was feeling I was more scared that I was going to have Steven taking care of me. Most of you lovely ladies with husbands/boyfriends understands why this is scary lol. This was the first time that he has ever had to take care of me when I wasn't feeling well and as much as I would like to say that it was magical....it wasn't! I'm not going to go into details but let me just say my house is now trashed, he was drunk, and it was all a bad mixture lol. With ALL of that... I can say that after getting the packing removed today I feel a lot better. I have been cleaning the house up and trying to fix everything that went wrong last night lol. Fingers crossed this is the last little mishap that is going to happen for a little bit. I have been neglecting my blog, my daily blog reads, twitter, EVERYTHING...Every time that I promise and say I will be catching up and 'blah blah blah' something happens to screw it up. Soooo...I am not promising anything LOL only planning on getting somethings done. haha

Thank you loves for being so patient with me and not hating me. Thank you so much for all of the new followers on my blog and on twitter...yall rock! I also want to say that Nicole O. is the winner of the giveaway that recently ended....CONGRATS NICOLE! Love yall and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

September Weekend Round Up

This month I did......NOTHING. Wait. What? What an interesting post that would be lol. I wish I could say that was entirely a joke but sadly it isn't. Normally Steven works lots of overtime during the week so when the weekend rolls around we normally hang around the house and get tasks on our "honey do list" done. We do go out and do things a few times a month but it's normally little date nights or we go out with friends....no mini weekend vacations for us. With all of that being said, I think that a weekend round up post every week would be quite boring and yall would see exactly how much of a life I don't have LOL. I am also horrid at taking pictures all the time of what we are doing. When we do things and start having fun I honestly forget to take pictures....I know, I know bad blogger. So I decided that it might be fun to show a monthly weekend roundup and see how that goes and see if yall even like it.

These are all pictures taken with a crappy camera by the way because I still don't have my %$#*@!%^ DSLR back yet. Yea...I am getting quite fiesty about it. So anyways the pictures aren't the greatest quality and I apologize in advance but I refuse to go purchase a better digital camera to use in the mean time.

As most of you know, I spent a lot of this month doing TONS of homework, studying for finals, and then taking the finals. It was so exhausting and annoying and as much as I tried to avoid homework on the weekends (to spend time with Steven) it did not always happen. Since I couldn't take a picture of how I came out of all of this I guess this GIF sums it up LOL

We have been making sure to set a date night at least once a month. This month we went to dinner and then did a little shopping. I love that he walked all around Sephora and Ulta and barely complained LOL. He did manage to spray every.single.perfume. EVER! It was quite foul.

It has been years since I last bowled and I had so much fun spending time with my little brother and a few of our friends.
(My younger brother busted his butt LOL)

I love festivals and fairs and I was so excited for our towns "Spoonbread Festival". Yeah....Spoonbread, it's real and it's disgusting!

Lastly, I got this little gem in the mail from House Party. It has been fun playing with it and learning how to use it. I will have a full post up after I host the party letting you know all of the details and my thoughts.

Once again, I am sorry for the picture quality. This is being put up and little late because our internet has been broken for the last week. It seems to be working again but who knows. They fixed it a couple of times this week only for it to go down again.

I hope yall have a wonderful week!
