Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure Review

I received Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure from Influenster in the Spring Fever Voxbox. I had seen them at the store but hesitated to buy them so I was happy to try them for free and decide if I liked them or not.

imPRESS Press-On nails are advertised to give you a salon looking manicure in seconds without the fuss of glue or waiting for them to dry. They are supposed to last up to one week, can be removed easily  and wont damage your nails.

I received the 'Get Into It' set

Each box has easy to read and follow instructions on the back.

Each nail has a tab on the bottom that covers the glue. To apply the nail all you do is peel it off and apply. I recommend that you apply pressure when applying it to your nails

This was the end result. The pattern was a little too busy and to me the nails seemed to have the thin fake look but that was easily changed.

So I used Nail-Aid 3 Minute Artificials (love love love this stuff), Julep  'Lauren', and Julep Top Coat to make the nails look the way I wanted.

Now they look like acrylic nails and I have to say, I love them.

I would give the imPRESS Press-On Nail a 4/5. They are perfect if you need a quick manicured look and they are available in solid colors for $5.99 or patterns for $7.99. They are simple to apply and I have not had a problem with them coming off and I have had them on for 4 days so far. MY only dislikes are that the sizes were awkward, for me at least, and the nails have that thin fake look.

Have you tried imPRESS Press-On manicure? If so, what are your thoughts?

I received this product for free from Influenster but all opinions are honest and mine.

I have been a member of Influenster since January and I was so excited to be selected for my first Voxbox. Influenster chooses members, based on participation, to receive boxes filled with products for the member to try, give their feedback, and share their thoughts with others.

The Spring Fever Voxbox Contained:

Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes - S'mores flavor $1.69
You can get my full review here.

1 of 3 OSIS+ products were sent in each voxbox. I received the Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel that will leave your hair with soft and bouncy curls. I can not wait to try this out.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press On Manicure {I already used them by the time I took the pic} $5.99 for colors and $7.99 for patterns. Salon Manicure in seconds that will last up to a week. No glue, no drying time, and they wont damage your nails.

Secret Outlast Clear Gel - $4.59 Perfect when wearing your favorite little black dress and protects for up to 48 hours against odor and wetness. I really like this deodorant and I think I will use this one this summer. It has a pleasant smell but not too strong to interfere with perfume.

NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in the shade Big Apple Red. $2.99 at mass chain drugstores and retail stores. This lip balm is amazing.

I will have full reviews on the OSIS+ Gelastic Ultra Strong Flex Gel, ImPRESS Press-On Manicure, and the NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm up in the next couple of days. I really liked this VoxBox and I hope to continue to get them.

I received these items free from Influenster in exchange for my opinion. All opinions are honest and mine.

Ways to Spruce Up Your Memorial Day Party

First, I would like to say Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all fallen, past, and active service members who put their lives on the line to protect our country. Memorial Day is not just about cookouts, family, and water balloon fights but the celebration of the service members who protect our freedom so we can live happy and free lives. I think it's important to also mention the service members families who give up their serving family member on holidays so we have the freedom to spend time with ours. Thank you!

If you are hosting a Memorial Day celebration but feel your party may feel a little dull, then here are some great links to spruce up your party!

And why not do a quick and simple mani so you match your party...

I hope that you all have a wonderful Memorial Day! If you would like to see more you can check out my Pinterest

Weekend Wrap-Up

Lots & lots got done this weekend and I am sad to see it end. Steven doesn't get Memorial Day off so he is back to work tomorrow.

I made a quick Goodwill run and came out with all this for only $20!
I still can't believe I got this mirror for $12.

My baby brother (he's actually a teen but will always be the baby) seen The Spy Who Shagged Me and HAD to have it. lol

Since I had so many projects in the garage waiting to be worked on, including the new mirror & lamp, I made the boys have a "sanding" party. They were thrilled..and I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible.

They look so happy, do they?
My garage is a hot mess, so please, ignore the chaos in the background!

To finish off the weekend we decided to start painting a bunch of the projects on my to-do list (I will be posting them soon) and some little things that I have been putting off for forever.

I am so glad to finally check some things off my "to-do" list. I am going to hopefully get the big projects finished tomorrow but I have one big final fingers crossed! Then after Tuesday I have a whole week off of school and I am going to focus all of my energy on my office.

Happy Memorial Day and I hope yall had an amazing weekend so far!

How To Clean Micro-Fiber Furniture

We were so excited when we purchased our first kitchen table. We moved in together when we were 17 and of course started off with hand-me-downs and 2nd hand furniture that wasn't even close to matching. So when we seen our new kitchen table I instantly fell in love and had to have it. The only down fall, micro-fiber seats. I was always told it is was hard to maintain, clean, and keep stain free but I didn't care. We don't have kids so I figured we wouldn't have much problems and we bought the table. We went for almost a year without any problems. Then one day my sister innocently sat at the table and when she got up there was a blue dye stain on the seat from her brand new blue about heart attack central! I literally freaked out. So I went on a search for the perfect cleaner for micro-fiber and this is what I found....use alcohol  No not the kind that you down on a weekend out but the kind you use to clean boo-boos.

After that incident the seats came so clean, I was thrilled. Then our cute little Piper (the cat) got a sinus infection and for some reason would only sit on that chair...ugh! We would remove him but that was the only place he felt comfortable. If you don't already know and have been lucky not to experience a cat sinus boogers are a huge part of it. Yes, I said cat boogers! Our poor little guy was sick and while we were waiting to get into the vet we decided to let him stay where he was comfortable. That decision resulted in this:

Oh, I cringe at the sight and I can't believe that I am sharing that picture. But hey, that's life right. The good, bad, ugly, and nasty!

So here's what you will need:
Spray Bottle Nozzle (use one from a shorter bottle and preferably new)
White Cleaning Cloth (White Only)
Soft Bristled Scrub Brush

First you will want to screw the spray nozzle on to the alcohol bottle. Then you will want to vacuum the micro-fiber REALLY well to get all of the loose particles off the material. Next, spay the cloth with the alcohol and then use the white cloth to clean the area. Scrub it like you would any other material just not too hard. Once you get the whole surface cleaned, let it dry. You aren't done yet! After allowing the fabric to dry  use the soft white scrub brush and softly stroke over the fabric. This will give the fabric it's natural appearance back. All Done!

Living in a Birds Paradise

About two months ago we started hearing something in our ceiling between the main floor of our house and the top floor. At first we thought it was a big rodent by the sound because it was SO loud. Then we discovered it was a bird, LOTS of birds. We kept getting them out and then all of a sudden, it was quiet. We thought it was over. Next thing I know it is early morning and the normal beautiful morning tweets of birds singing turned into a whole lot of awful screeching from baby birds. I have to tell you guys, it was awful. We might as well had a baby of our own because we were never able to sleep. Up at all times of the night and early morning to baby bird crying....oh the agony! Finally after a month and a half of baby bird cries, it stopped and before we knew it a week went by and we were finally able to get some sleep.

This joy was short lived. We cooked out on our grill and then a few days later we went out to start the grill and I noticed there were twigs all over over the outside but when we opened the lid, I freaked. It was full of sticks...what the heck?

I had never seen anything like it. We look inside the sticks and there are little robin eggs inside.

I thought...awww! Then I was quickly reminded....OMG it is summer time and we wont be able to use our grill for at least another month. Yikes! We love to grill out and Steven was instantly pissed. lol.  My next thought was, why in the heck did the bird need THAT MANY sticks for those little eggs. I mean the whole grill is full.

I have no idea why these birds hate us so much and keep deciding to have babies here. I love my home so I can understand the appeal lol but if they keep it up I am going to have to start charging them rent.

Have you experienced this before?
