Influenster Violet Voxbox

This month I was selected to receive the Violet VoxBox from Influenster.I'm sure that most of you know what Influenster and VoxBoxs are but for those of you who don't; Influenster is a free site that users can write product reviews, ask questions about the product, and get feedback on a product before deciding to purchase. Influenster has a program where they provide a 'VoxBox' to select users that is filled with products that they feel you would enjoy, based on your review choices, so that the user can provide their feedback on their site and social media.

The Violet VoxBox was sent to beauty lovers and is inspired by this season's dark moody florals. Each box contained 3 "for sure" products and 1 or more of the "optional" products. My box contained:

Goody Athletique Headbands - $6
I love to use this headband when I am putting on my makeup or washing my face. It holds the hair back really well and it has a velcro strap in the back to make it fit comfortably. I am not sure that this would work for me when working out because it does slip a bit but it is perfect for my needs.

Sally Hansen New Triple Shine Polish in 'Dive In' - $4.99
This product claims to be a daily defense from water and wear and you will have the shiniest nails ever.
Unfortunately this polish did not live up to any of its claims for me. I was so excited when I seen it because the color was a gorgeous mint blue. I think this polish is one of the dullest polishes I have used and only after I added a top coat did it actually shine. After one day it was chipped horribly and I removed it. It did not live up to its claims and I would not recommend this color to anyone. I have not tried any of the other colors yet but based on the results of this one, I most likely will not be purchasing them.

SoyJoy in 'Dark Chocolate Cherry' - $0.99
Oh lord this little health bar was not for me. I did not think that it tasted good at all and this is not a snack that I would ever eat again. I'm sure that is just because it was super healthy LOL

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas - $2.49
This little mask was like a spa in a bag. It was so refreshing and a nice way to relax before bed. The holes win the mask were a little off but after a little adjusting it was fine. The best part was it really did minimize my pores and made my face look brighter. I plan on purchasing more of these for those long nights of homework or during finals.

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo - $5.99
I really enjoyed this dry shampoo. It left my hair feeling light and oil free and I like that it blended in well. I will have a full review with pictures up soon :)

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts? Influenster is currently by invite only so if you are interested in joining you can leave your email address below or email it to me at justinawho@gmail.com.

I hope that you have a fun and happy New Year!

TAG: Thankful Blogger Friends

I was tagged by Renny the incredibly sweet blogger at Sincerely Renny. If you don't follow her already, check her out she has awesome reviews and product swatches.

(Please be specific in your answers so we can all learn something.)

1. How long have you been blogging?
I started this blog on January 15, 2012 but I quit blogging for a year and then started to seriously blog again in March of 2013.

2. Are there any bloggers who helped you out/encouraged you when you first started your blog?
Y'all I was a hot mess when I first started. I didn't know what to do or how to make things look right...hell, I didn't even know what I wanted my focus to be. I felt so lost and had to buckle down and learn everything I could by reading blog post tutorials. I wish I would have networked from the beginning but as dumb as this sounds, I wasn't quite sure how to.

On a personal note though, Steven was the person who encouraged me the most when I first started out. It was a little embarrassing when I first told him that I was wanting to start blogging full force (in March) but he was incredibly supportive. We moved down to Kentucky where we knew no one but my mom and siblings and it was hard for me at first. I didn't have any close friends here and my anxiety was at an all time high so he thought it was a great way for me to have an outlet and be creative. He didn't understand what a blog was at first but now when I tell him my page views, followers, new blog friends, ect. he is excited for me. I am a lucky girl <3

3. What social media has driven the most traffic to your blog? Is there a platform that you don't use?
I think google+ and twitter drive the most traffic for me. I have an instagram but I barely use it because I don't have a cell phone. We have a cell phone but it is for emergency purposes and Steven uses it when he goes to work but other than that I honestly don't even think about a phone when I am out......is that weird? I'm sure it is. I don't have a blog Facebook published and active right now but it will be coming soon!

4. How often do you post?
LOL I can't help but laugh at this question....I'm awful y'all! I used to post multiple times a week but again I'm a mess and y'all know it lol. I am going to follow my beautiful friend Lily's lead and get myself a calendar and set a dang schedule.

5. Where do you blog?
My office/makeup room is in the middle of being redone so right now I blog down stairs on the couch or in the chair. You see why my life is a mess folks....I have way to many projects/tasks started at one time lol. Steven promised me that we will get my office done before Christmas so that it is ready for my new stuff (this mama finally got herself some Muji organizers and new furniture whoop whoop) that I get for Christmas. This has seriously been a 4 month project and I am so ready for it to be done....we're so close!

6. What camera do you use? What photo editing software do you use?
I use my Canon Rebel 3ti and for quick re-sizing and small edits I like to use picmonkey but for portraits and photos I take of people I use Gimp.

7. How did you come up with your blog name?
My blog name just came to me. When I started my blog I was just laid off from a high paying job that I worked me ass off to get and for the first time since I was 16 years old I had no job. I didn't know what to do with myself and honestly I started to question who I was. It might seem silly that being laid off from a job would lead to all of this but I was a workaholic and it really did define me and made me feel accomplished. I was the first person in that position at such a young age and I was proud of it but due to funding a lot of people lost their jobs. Anyways that's what led me to ask, Justina Who?

8. Do you do any regular series posts on your blog?
I used to do Wardrobe Wednesday & Obsessed Finds on Mondays but not anymore. I think I am going to start Wardrobe Wednesday again but I'm not sure yet. The only other thing that even resembles a series on my blog are my confessions posts. I like doing them but I do them when I feel like it so there is no set structure (this seems to be a pattern for me lol).

9. What draws you to a blog?
I would have to say that the blogger is genuinely nice. I could love the blogs layout and think it looks gorgeous but if the blogger isn't very nice I won't keep reading.

10. What turns you off a blog?
I think that some of the large bloggers lose touch with their readers and they can forget where they came from. (By no means am I saying all large blogs are this way so please no mean comments) I think this is why I like blogs where the blogger is still very interactive with their readers.

11. How many blogs do you subscribe to?
Are they all beauty related?
I follow a bunch and they are a mix between beauty and DIY blogs. I am a DIY addict and me and Steven love doing projects...hence the reason we have like literally 14 DIY projects half finished lmao.

12. When do you generally read blogs?
I like to spend any available time before Steven goes to work with him so I normally read blogs late at night.

13. What is your favorite type of post and why?
I love hauls, reviews, and swatch posts. I like to know what other people think about products and see what the swatches look so those are my favorite.

14. What is your least favorite type of post and why?
I don't like forced sponsored posts that have nothings to do with the blog. I do sponsored posts and share sites that I use but I always make sure that it is relevant to my readers. As bloggers we are all flooded with sponsor offers and while some of them are nice I think we have to choose wisely.

(If there are any you prefer not to answer, just skip!)

Where do you live? Tell us a bit about your city!
I live in central Kentucky and I love it. I live in a city that is big in size but still has a small town feel.

What about your home?
We live in a 3 story townhouse. I love it BUT I hate all of the stairs. The laundry room is on the bottom floor and the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor so laundry is a big ol' pain in the arse.

Single or Taken?
Taken <3

Do you have children?
No but we are trying. Doctors and doctors and doctors, oh my! We never thought we would be having the difficulty that we are but we are hopeful.

Do you have pets?
Yes, my fur babies Smokey & Piper.

Do you have a "day job"?
No but I am actively looking. It has been so nice being a stay at home "wife" the last year but I am so ready to start working again. I am currently completing a 2 year degree in 1 year so my school schedule is quite demanding but a part time job would be perfect for me. Steven is wanting me to continue to stay home until I am done with school but I don't think I can wait a few more months.

How tall are you?
I'm a shorty y'all. 5'2".

Do you have siblings?
Yes, there's a bunch of us! lol I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers

3 words to describe yourself?
OCD, Compassionate, & Funny

3 favorite bands/ musicians?
Metallica, Blake Shelton, Beetles, Nirvana, Chanel West Coast (listen to her newest album, I love it), Lorde....I can't pick just 3 lol I listen to all different genres so I have a bunch of favorites.

3 random/weird facts about you?
-I love watching Aziz Ansari's stand up routines. He is my all time favorite comedian.
-I have tennis shoes that are literally 5 years old and still look new even though I wear them often.
-My brother (the 15 year old) comes and spends every weekend with me and we have Doctor Who marathons and eat brownies.

Holy moly, if you made it to the end of this give yourself a pat on your back and thank you for reading a little more about me. If you would like to do this tag go for it..your all tagged :)

LORAC Pro To Go Palette Review & Swatches

LORAC has hit the beauty world by storm and this is a storm that I am glad to be apart of. I originally wanted the LORAC PRO palette but since they were sold out at both Ulta and Sephora, I went ahead and snagged the LORAC PRO TO GO palette instead. Don't fret ladies, I forced Steven to buy me the LORAC PRO for Christmas soooo I will have that baby in my hands in a mere 15 days. Oh yeah! Even though this palette is compact and travel friendly, it should not be under estimated.

The palette is folded up with a mirror on each side and held shut by magnets. You can unfold the whole palette when your using it or you can use one side at a time, which ever you prefer. The eye shadows are on one side and the blushes and bronzer are on the other. It does come with two small brushes but they really aren't usable in my opinion.

There are 6 shadows in this palette, 3 matte and 3 shimmer. I think that LORAC has some of the most buttery shadows I have ever used.  The palette has the perfect colors for creating a light or dark smokey eye.

Pearl, Chai, and Mink are the shimmer shades.
Shell, Cafe, and Black are the matte shades.
As you can see they are all very pigmented.

There are 2 blushes in this palette and 1 bronzer. The blushes are true to their name and very pigmented. They look so beautiful on the cheeks and blend out beautifully as well. The bronzer does not work as a all over bronzer for me but it is nice as a contour. I have only used it a few times so far but I really like it.

Coral is a shimmer blush while both Pink and Bronze are mattes.

The Lorac Pro To Go palette retails for $38 and I believe that it is worth every penny. Even though the palette is compact, it contains all full size shadows and blushes. This palette is perfect for traveling because you could take this with you and have your shadow, blushes, and bronzer all in one.

Have you tried this palette yet? What are your thoughts?

I also wanted to let y'all know that the blog might look a little whacky in the next few days because I am going to start applying all of my new designs for the background and sidebar. So bear with me while I get it all switched over.

November Favorites

I can not believe how fast Thanksgiving has come and gone but I don't care because it is finally my favorite time of year. Can I get a woot woot for Christmas? I know, I am talking about Chrsitmas during my November favorites but y'all I just can't help it! Okay I'll shut up and move on to my favorites, if not before I know it I'll be on a holly jolly tangent LOL

Burberry London Classic
I have told y'all a million times that this is my favorite perfume of all time but I have a confession...I cheated. Yes, I cheated on ol' faithful the last couple of months trying out new scents to see if I found any new scents that I loved. I did like a few of the scents but nothing stood a chance next to this baby. What I love most about this perfume is that Steven loves it even more.....I just can't keep his hands off me ;)

L'oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector
I was in a car wreck when I was 16 and my face went threw the windshield. Since then I have been so self conscious of my skin texture on my face. My whole face was cut up and I can cover the scars on the outer perimeter of my face but the little bumps cant be. I know this isn't going to be a miracle cream but I am hoping that it will help a little with the texture and reduce my pores. I don't think I have used it long enough to see a difference BUT I love the smell and how amazingly smooth it makes my skin. I caught a deal at rite aid and used a coupon so I got this bad boy for only $11.99 so I had to get it. I hope that it will work for me like it has for others.

Butter Rum Candle
This candle only comes out around the holidays so every year we stock up on the large candles to last through the year. This year...we can't find them ANYWHERE. We happened to be in Big Lots a week ago and seen 3 small ones and snatched them up. They are the only ones we can find at any of the stores and we are so sad about it. I don't know what happened.....all I know is these aren't going to last long and I have to find more. I feel like a candle crack addict haha

Lorac Pro To Go Palette
LOVE LOVE LOVE. The shadows are so buttery and I think that Lorac is quickly becoming my favorite shadow brand. The blushes in this palette are just as fabulous.

The Balms Bahama Mama Bronzer
This bronzer is perfect for contouring my abnormally pale face lol.

L'oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black
Y'all I have no idea why I stopped using this mascara. I decided to pick it up again when I was at the drug store and I am so glad I did. I love it.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Ever since I first tried this concealer a month ago I have not stopped using it. It doesn't crease and it blends out beautifully. This is definitely a new favorite and going to stay in my everyday routine.

What are your favorites? Whats your thoughts on my favorites? Let me know girls!

Where in the world is....

Did y'all just have "Carmen San Diego" run through your head after reading the title? No? Yes? lol

Anyways, on to the good stuff....
Let me start off by saying how much I have missed y'all! I have been catching up on all of your lovely comments and kind words and it really does show what a wonderful bunch of friends I have. A few weeks ago I felt like I was always playing catch up and because of that I was half a--ing my way through not only my blogs but my school work and most importantly my family. I am a perfectionist so not having my camera to take quality pictures and not having enough time really made me dread putting up posts. Not because I don't like blogging but because I knew it wasn't the best quality. But guess what.....mama got her camera back! We're reunited and it feels so goooooooood!

With all of the doctors appointments and craziness that was going on Steven and I decided that we were just going to take it easy for a few weeks and spend some quality time together. It was so nice because he works so much and he finally got a few days off. We got a lot of Christmas shopping done, had thanksgiving at our house, starting working on my office/makeup room and put our Christmas decorations up. It was so nice because we able to just step back from everything and really enjoy some time together and regroup.

So my beautiful friends I am now ahead on my homework, have my baby (camera) back, and tons of goodness to share with y'all. I mean, look,I have all of this to share with yall:

So be looking for my upcoming hauls, reviews, and swatches my loves. I have missed y'all terribly and I am so sorry for neglecting you :( I am so excited that it is finally Christmas time and I am amped up for all of the holiday posts!

BA Star Lip Pencil Review & Swatch

BA Star is a company that has products directed toward dance, cheerleading, ect but like I have said before it is perfect for the everyday girl as well. Since their products are for performers they are always very pigmented and long lasting.  I am always thrilled to get sent their products through brand backer and this little baby is no exception.

I received the Lip Pencil in the shade 'Holiday Red'. The name fits this lip pencil well because I would absolutely wear this color during the holidays. Before I get into my likes and dislikes, here's a swatch:

I love how vibrant and pigmented the color is and it applies very creamy. This lip pencil is long wearing and lasted about 5 hours on me. It leaves a little bit of a stain as it wears and I like that I can add a little gloss to the stain and it looks great. Even though it applies creamy, I think it dries matte. It is very drying but I don't think it is any worse than other matte lipsticks. I would suggest using lip balm before applying the pencil and then a gloss over. The thing I dislike the most is that it has to be sharpened. I don't like to put my lip products in a sharpener so I wish it had a twist up dispenser.

The BA Star Lip Pencils are priced at $8.75 each and they do have a few other colors to choose from on their site. Even though I think this is a good product I don't think that I would repurchase it. I love the color but I would only wear it on certain occasions during the holidays but I would recommend this product to people who can rock a red lip all the time.

If you are interested in purchasing one, use the code BBLIPS  for a 50% off discount at checkout.

This is a sponsored post but all opinions are mine and honest. I was sent this product through Brandbacker.com in exchange for my honest opinion.

November Ipsy Bag

This months theme is Glam It Up.
I have to say, Novembers Ipsy bag was quite impressive. I was surprised that we got so many items and most were full size. I did not like a couple of the products but that's okay because I defiantly got more than my moneys worth in the products I love. I actually like the glam bag itself this month and I am now using it as my makeup bag in my purse.

So here's what I got:

1. Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in "Hot Damn" full size - $14
2. Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil in "Topaz" full size - $14
3. BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eye Shadow in "Asteroid" - full size single shadow but it can only be bought in a palette which is $14.95
4. Pixi Beauty Bronzer in "Subtly Suntouched" deluxe sample size
5. Nailtini Nail Polish in "Caviar" full size - $13
6. Em by Michelle Phan Mascara in "black" full size - $20

I can not wait until next months bag and theme! Their bags last year around the holidays were great.
I know most of you are subscribed to Ipsy so,what did you think of your bag this month?

A Great Way to Shop Online

Let me start by saying this is NOT a sponsored post. With it being so close to the holidays I have been making more online purchases and I was so happy that I was told about EBATES.com. I love price checking online compared to the store and a lot of times it is not only easier but also cheaper to buy something online.

Ebates is a site that you can join for free and they have tons of online stores and coupons available to their users. The best part about Ebates is the cash back that you get when you make an online purchase. Different store have different percentages of cash back. For example, I often make purchases from Ulta online because the closest one to me is an hour away. All I did was go to Ebates.com, search for Ulta, seen that the cash back was at 8% and clicked on the shop now button. It took me straight to Ulta's site and I shopped and checked out like normal. The next day I looked at my Ebates account and seen that I earned $9 cash back.

I would definitely suggest y'all check it out and see what you think. You also get a gift card when you use the site to make your first purchase. I know that a lot of people already know about Ebates but for those of you that are late to the game like me, I thought you should know as well.

These Are My Confessions

If this dog had long hair it would be an exact image of "poo". Scary, I know!

A few months back I did a confessions post about why I stopped wearing makeup for a year. Everyone really seemed to like it and I loved that I was able to share a little more about myself with y'all. I had a confessions post already wrote about a different topic but as I was reading one of my favorite blogs, one her posts reminded me of a funny story that I thought I would share. Thank you Lily for inspiring this months confession post!

I know that Halloween is now over but I just had to share this story with y'all. When I was 16 years old my mom and I were going through totes and totes of baby books, pictures, and keepsakes that my mom has hoarded over the years (to be fair there are 5 of us kids). In one of the storage totes I came across this clown costume and wig that I had worn for Halloween when I was like 5 or 6. Being the jokester I am I thought I would put it on and dance around to be funny. Little did I know that this little joke would become something that people talk about still to this day.

We lived in a very small town (literally it is 13 blocks long & 1 block wide) so we were pretty close with our neighbors. They were older people but they had kids my age that I was best friends with. They were all fun people who liked a good laugh so my mom thought it would be hilarious for me to go over to their house and show them the costume. First let me say this, it was the middle of July, the legs only went down to my calves and the arms were super short, and lets not forget about the wig. Second, and most importantly, they had this little demon dog with one tooth that hated me. I thought this would be a little laugh for MY family but before I knew it my mom forced me to go over to the neighbors house to show them. I really didn't want to show them but I thought oh they will get a quick little laugh and it will be over......WRONG!

So I am busting ass trying to get across the gravel drive way so no one else would see me and BAM! shit got real. Out of friggin no where before I reached the front door that little ass demon dog named "Poo" came running after me barking and trying to bite me. I freaked out and ran...well that little demon was just as fast as me so I had to come up with a solution. My brilliant solution to getting away from Poo was to jump on the hood of their car because he couldn't get up there. So now here I am dressed in a super small clown costume from like 1995 with a big ass wig on, on the hood of a car, with a little demon dog trying to kill me.

I really wish that I could tell y'all that the embarrassment stopped there, but no it got much worse. Poo would not go away and was starting to figure out how to get up on the bumper so I started screaming for my mom thinking that she would come help me. She never came out of the house and I really started to panic and scream for her. I wasn't aware that my mom had called the neighbors and told them to go look outside because she thought it was sooooo hilarious -_- . Next thing I know here they ALL come out of the house cracking up laughing, their older sons had friends over too so all of these people are now dying laughing over the sight of me in this costume loosing my shit on the hood of their car. My mom and family come over too and they all have a big ol laugh. Brilliant! The neighbors finally got poo away from the car but as soon as I got off the hood he came for me AGAIN. This time I ran as fast as I could to my house before he could get me. Thank god I am a southern girl and can run on gravel barefoot because I don't think I would have made it home if I wasn't.

This story spread so fast in our little town and I was mortified. That stupid costume went back in the tote and I haven't looked at it since. I was so scared in the moment but now I crack up just thinking about it. This story comes up at least once a year and everyone has a good laugh so I guess I'm glad my terrifying experience provided so many people with joy. So thanks mom, for sacrificing your eldest, smartest, best daughter to the little demon neighbor dog for a good laugh.

Oh and FYI, Poo and I never did become friends. I felt he was just too negative to have in my life HAHA

Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream Review

I, like most women, am always looking for a solution to my dark under eye circles, puffy bags, and of course wrinkles. I unfortunately inherited puffy dark under eye circles and the older I get, the worse they look. When I do finally find a product that works a little bit, it normally only helps with one problem. I have been using numerous creams on my eye area for quite some time now and it can become a bit tedious.

I was so excited when I seen that Brandbacker had opened a campaign for Resvology's Age Corrective Eye Cream. I had never heard of the product before but after researching the product I knew I had to apply for the campaign. It is always easy to get sucked in by the wording of products and the amazing claims it makes but for me, "the proof is in the pudding". Although I was excited, I was still a bit skeptical.

About the Brand:
"At Resvology, our dedication to advancing the potential of anti-aging skincare began in our research labs. Specialists in studying gene-activation, our distinguished scientists were awarded a medical grant to study the problems of aging skin from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Washington, DC. After 10 years of medical study and investigation, they isolated the power of the first ever stabilized form of resveratrol acetate, now called the 4-AR Molecule™ (US PATENT 7,714,161, with worldwide patents pending), a clinically-designed solution to help tackle specific aspects of skin aging including fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and elasticity, uneven skin tone and sun damage. The only brand in the world to feature this transformative breakthrough, 4-AR is clinically-proven to help keep skin acting and looking younger."

What Does the Product Claim to Do?
Luxuriously hydrating and rejuvenating eye cream with clinically-proven anti-aging actions that:
-minimizes crow's feet, fine lines and wrinkles
-reinforces skin firmness and elasticity
-deflates puffiness and brightens dark circles

Does it Really Work?
I have been using this product for the last month because I wanted to get the full effect of the product before I gave my opinion. I applied the eye cream to my eye area morning and night, as directed, everyday for the last month. After weeks of using the product I have noticed that my under eye circles are not completely gone but are noticeably brighter and my under eye bags are gone. I don't have tons of wrinkles around my eyes but I do have a single deep crease where my winged eye liner goes. This crease will collect makeup and it has always bothered me. The last week I have noticed that the line has "filled in" a bit and isn't as deep as it was. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! You shouldn't expect immediate results the very first day you use it but if you add it to your daily routine you will notice a difference within a few weeks. I love that I can use one product on my eye area to address all of my problems and I know that it is truly correcting those issues.

If you would like to learn more about Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream, I would suggest you check out their website and Facebook page. The research is so interesting to read and their website is very informative.

I received this product from Brandbacker in exchange for my review. I took my time and really used this product before writing this review because I wanted my opinion of this product to be correct. My opinions are honest and mine!

Would You Rather- Beauty Edition - TAG

Now some of you that have been with me for awhile may be having deja vu right about now and thinking I have lost my mind but let me assure you, I still have it together....I think lol. Yes I have done this tag before but since I was tagged again I thought I would do it once more time since I have gotten so many new readers recently. Also, I want to say a huge thank you to Ashley for tagging me and if y'all are looking for a great beauty blog to follow.....go check her out!

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
I would give up my palettes and eye shadows, for sure. I feel like mascara and eyeliner can make a look come together and look complete. Eye shadow is nice and brings a makeup look together also BUT I think it isn't as crucial as mascara or eyeliner.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never cut it again. I have had long hair down past my butt before and while it took a lot more time to style and care for, it was beautiful. Also, I have too big of a head to have no hair lol

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I think that I am wayyyy too pale to pull off a coral shade and a pink blush is way more practical and "in" all year long.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
As much as I love makeup, I would have to chose clothes. I have so much makeup as it is but hardly have any clothes due to my weight constantly changing. I would love to go into a store a blow $1000 on clothes...what girl wouldn't? lol

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Can I chose neither? No? Okay, If I had to choose I would say lipstick as eyeliner. I wear different color eyeliner sometimes so I think I could manage. I could never pull off black lips so I would never want to use my eyeliner as lipstick lol

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Uhhhh....Sephora 100%. Sephora has a huge range of products and brands to choose from while MAC is limited.

7.) Would you rather only use one eye shadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One lip color for the rest of my life. I think if I had a great neutral nude pink color I would be set.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
So the choice is to freeze my ass off or cook in the sun? wonderful! haha. I would have to say, wear winter clothes in the summer. As much as I hate to be hot, I hate to be cold even more. I hate winter and cold weather and I even have to wear a blanket in the house so I would never want to wear shorts & tank top in the winter.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails, all day every day!

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
lip product

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Like I said before, I have a giant head and a pony tail emphasizes it. Messy bun it is!

12.) Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I am not a huge lip gloss person anymore so I would be just fine never using lip gloss again.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I would sharpie those bad boys on. Have you ever glued your eyebrows for a Halloween look and covered them with foundation to make them appear gone? It is very awkward LOL I don't recommend this look for anyone.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Nail polish....duhhhh :)

Again, thank you so much Ashley for tagging me! Make sure y'all go check out her blog..I love it and I think you will too!

Happy Halloween Loves <3

October IPSY

Octobers IPSY bag was a little different than normal. We normally get mostly makeup but this month they added hand creams and moisturizers to the bag. It was a nice little switch up but I hope that we go back to mostly makeup products. If you aren't familiar with IPSY, it is a monthly beauty subscription service where you receive 5 deluxe (sample) or full size items, all for $10 per month. This is my favorite beauty service because they normally always have at least one full size item and I always get my moneys worth.

Here's what I got:

Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel - Deluxe Sample
I used this a couple of times and I really didn't care for it. If you seen my natural hair you would think..."girl that hair doesn't need to be any bigger" lol but my hair is EXTREMELY thick and gets heavy so my roots get weighed down and flat. This really didn't give my roots any volume so I will not purchase this in the future.

be Delectable Hand Cream in Coconut & Cream - Deluxe Sample
I am in love with this hand cream. It not only smells delicious but it makes my hands feel incredible. After I shave my legs I normally can't immediately put lotion on them because my skin gets irritated. I know this is hand cream but I put it on my legs after shaving and it did not irritate my skin at all and my legs felt amazing. I will defiantly purchase the full size bottle of this lotion.

H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment - Deluxe Sample
One word....AMAZING! This stuff is absolutely amazing and I honestly can't get enough of it. I thought this would be the product that I wouldn't care for but it is actually my favorite. It makes my skin feel so amazing and soft. It doesn't leave a greasy residue like most lotions so it is perfect for my skin. It also reduces the redness on my face and evens out my complexion a bit. Steven even noticed a difference in my skin and used it a couple of times lol. I will 100% be purchasing this product.

Zoya Nail Polish in Mason - Full Size $8
Okay, I have a love hate relationship with Zoya. I love the colors they offer and how pigmented they are BUT both polishes that I have from Zoya have a weird consistency. The first time I use the polish the consistency is great but after that it's like it thickens and I don't like it. Does anyone else have the same experience?

Buxon Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly - Deluxe Sample
I was so excited when I seen that I was getting this gloss because there's all this hype about Buxom and I hadn't tried it yet. It was the first thing I took out to try and my thoughts......WOMP WOMP! I did not like the constancy at all. It was so thick and sticky....yuck. It did make my lips tingle and plump a little bit and it looked pretty but the consistency ruined it for me. I will not be purchasing this in the future.

Overall, I liked this month's bag. I found some great new products and learned of a few products that I don't like....that's what a beauty subscription is all about. If you have been considering a beauty subscription but not sure which one, I recommend Ipsy.
